The Houston Marathon is here again!!!

Well, none of us: Chuck, myself, my sis or bro-in-law are running the FULL(26.2 miles) this year, but we are running the HALF(13.1 miles)! I'm a little sad, since the FULL last year was really good to me. Everything felt great that time...no hitting the infamous "wall" or any kind of meltdowns for me (one year I starting crying at mile 18???, I just started to get REALLY emotional for no reason, my body was freaking out on me!). But, the truth of the matter is none of us has been able to commit the time that it takes to train for the FULL. But that's ok, after running the whole thing, doing the HALF seems like a breeze....well, hopefully it will this year anyways!
This is our 5th year of running in the HOUSTON MARATHON and we have had a blast each year! We stay at the Hilton Americas Hotel located right by the start and finish line. That's part of the fun for us!!! We have such good memories of training and running in the race from years past and I know this one will be the same PLUS some since we're doing it with some good friends from church this year: Misty(another one), Kelli and Tim! YAAAYYY for us!
If any of you are into tracking...you can register to see us or any of your other friends or family members running it too...just go to:
You'll receive athlete alerts (texts) when the runners you choose to track cross certain check points!

Or you can also go on Chevron Houston Marathon's website and track runners on a map!
Wish us luck and say a prayer for all the runners if you think about it Sunday...hopefully I'll have some fun pictures to post!
