Maddi's cell phone wish finally came true at 13...she's the last of her friends to get one(most of them got them at 9 or 10). I know, I know, so sad. All the parents are like, "You haven't bought her one yet?"or "Don't you think she needs one for safety reasons ?" and on and on...GOOD GRIEF, WHAT IN THE HECK DID WE DO WITHOUT THEM GROWING UP?...I MEAN, GOODNESS! IT WASN'T THAT LONG AGO AND WE DID FINE WITHOUT THEM! AHHHHHHHHHH!

My 2nd set of tickets to see CELINE DION!!! The first time was when Chuck and I took a trip to Las Vegas to play and see her in concert, but this January she's comin' to Houston....YAAAAYYYY! She's my fave! (and yes, that's what i look like when i wake up...scary, i know.)

Lana had a great idea a couple of days after Christmas to go to Discovery Green in the middle of downtown Houston where there was an awesome ice-skating rink set up. What a blast!...
Yaayyyy! Fun times! Tomorrow we're headed to Danbury(our church has a gorgeous, rustic retreat in the middle of the woods there) for some New Year's fun! It's our 3rd New Year's to spend down there...it's become our tradition!!! We'll spend the night with friends and family to ring in the New Year with firecrackers, fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, roasting s'mores, food, fun, and letting the kids run wild through the woods with all the other kids...it's SO MUCH FUN!!!
Then to Papa and Gram's to relax with them at the lake for a couple of nights...
