my special prayer warrior...

My mom found these the other day after our time together at Thanksgiving with our entire family at the lodge we go to.  We have an area there set up where you can do crafts, draw, color, etc...

Of course we knew instantly who wrote these...
One sweet little girl, sensitive to Jesus with a heart for others.  My oldest niece.
Reese, who is 6 years old now.  Reese, with whom I experienced one of the greatest joys of my life watching my sister deliver her into this world.  Reese, I love her so....just as if she were my own.
Well, she is...MY niece:)  That counts for a lot!

I can't tell you how many times in the past years that she has told me that she is praying for me to get/have a baby.  She prays for it every meal I'm at, she prays for it every night.  Her parents(my sister and brother-in-law) pray together every night with their girls and I'm proud of the precedence they've set to lift others up to Jesus.  I hear her pray for so many people, not just me.  Special, special girl.

So when I asked her about these papers, she told me that all she was doing was just writing down her prayer for me.

Nothing special, nothing big deal.

Oh, the wisdom of children...just earnestly asking, and never giving up on God.

I can learn from that.  Can't we all...

Earnestly ask and never give up.  He's listening.
Even when it doesn't seem or feel like it.

I know, I know...it's harder than it sounds.  We can do it.
A child-like faith.

Thanks, Reesie.
I sure do love you.

I love the prayers of our babies! Know that you are being lifted in prayer by our Riley too. I BELIEVE God hears and responds to the prayers of his "littlest" children more than anyone elses. They have the most honest, genuine, and faith filled prayers.
God IS listening and His timing will be sooo perfect.

Pure sweet precious prayers from a pure sweet precious Reese, who was prayed for so fervently while Lana spent a couple of months in the hospital awaiting her birth.
"Misty, I hope, would, should get a baby." We agree & pray this prayer ALL the time. Love You! Mom & Dad
