Let's face it, I'm a CRY-BABY when it comes to running....

I tend to be an emotional person as it is.  But for some reason, running and watching people run really gets to me.  There's something so inspirational about running and all the places your mind takes you while you're out there.  It's therapeutic(for me, anyways).  I usually end up crying pretty much any long run I'm on.  Weird?  Maybe.  But it's a time for me to think, pray, reflect, remember loved ones, cry out to God, thank Him.

Watching people run in races does the same thing for me.  Running is such a push-thru-the-pain and overcome-the-obstacles-to-get-to-the-end type of a situation(A LOT like real life).  Watching people do that, just makes me weepy...especially watching 2 boys I love.  Two boys who've had to overcome some HUGE obstacles in their short lives.  Two boys that I am proud of.

These two tall boys below:)...
                                                     Kade                                                Mason
Monday, November 14, was their first cross country meet.  TWO MILES.

Running is Mason's "thing".  He's a runner.
We've been looking forward to this for months!  Heck...years!

Kade is a sprinter, a football stud, too...he's fast.
Not a fan of long distance, but look who's out there...love it!!!
Mason took the lead early on and stayed there til the last 100 yards.
Proud Daddy picture....

Mason with Blayke, Nana, and Papa cheering him on...lots of tears there(hahaha...see, it's not just me!)
Krazy Kade smiling thru it all...
Look at that stride, determination, focus...
 Still in the lead...
Here's what a 2nd place finisher looks like...

And here's what a sprinter who saves it all for the last 100 yards looks like FLYING in...
(I couldn't even get a non-blurry picture because he was running it in SO fast.)

CAUTION...My kid's UNSTOPPABLE in Cross Country!!!
Love,
One proud Mom and Auntie:)

Love it! Mason 'Joe Cool' going the same speed at the beginning and the end, and Kade doing the same. The only difference? Mason does it the whole time! Kade only sprints when there's an audience! Bwah haha!

Way to go Mason and Kade! Love the pics. :) Kade looks like Jarod in that last pic of him.
