My SURVIVOR experience & WHO I'M PULLIN' for(hint..hint..ADOPTION)!!!

If you know me well, you know I LOVE Survivor.  So much so, that in 2003 I sent in a video and was SHOCKED to be called back a few months later.  So, the first call back comes from a decision made by your video.  Then, you have a phone interview....whew! made it past that.  If you make it past the phone interview, you have to drive to the station closest to you holding interviews.  That year it was in Austin at KEYE-TV.  Chuck and I were dating at the time, and on March 5th, 2004, we drove up there.  He dropped me off at the station because we were supposed to come by ourselves.  My instructions given were: do not tell anyone you have been chosen, come alone, and minimal(if any) make up.  I walked in and a sign told me not to speak to anyone in the waiting area.  It was just me and a military-looking middle-aged guy.  Then, they called me in....it was a crazy CAMERAS-ALL-IN-YOUR-FACE type experience.  They videoed while they talked to me.  I could barely see the panel because the camera lights were SO bright.  I was nervous and wish I could go back and just tell myself to relax.  They called me back 2 weeks later and told me I was not one of the 50 finalists chosen, but to try again.  Wah wah.

Maybe I'll try it again..

...ESPECIALLY AFTER I KNOW HOW MUCH THIS CONTESTANT WILL INSPIRE ME!!!
Meet Dawn...she's an adoptive mom of SIX.  Yes, 6!!!  She says she her adoption experiences have made her TOUGH.  Boy, do I understand that at this point....and we've not even made it to ONE...hahaha!(why did i hahaha???...it's REALLY NO laughing matter!).

Stay strong for this battle - crisis reveals the character and yours is truly beautiful. We are all adopted sons and daughters of the King. Praying for your special story - and that God will give you a story to tell like no other! So proud of YOU! Praying...
