WE'VE BEEN CHOSEN...
-by a birth mom -due in September -in another city
We got the call last week, that a birthmom had picked us almost two weeks ago! Whaaaaat? This soon? It has barely been two months since our paperwork was final. I had my mind so focused on the fact that we would have the 1-2 year wait that they prepare us for...but it happened sooner. We don't take that for granted, believe me. We are really excited, but trying not to get our hopes up. We've been on the rollercoaster of infertility for the past 5 years, only to hop off IT, and onto the rollercoaster of adoption...and we couldn't be more excited, nervous, and overwhelmed.
Like most adoptions, there ARE some hangups.
Nothing is final...only God knows what the outcome will be in this situation.
We know that HE is in control NO MATTER WHAT.
Trusting Him....thinking about it and praying almost constantly.
There are some very REAL prayer needs in this situation.
We feel NOT sharing all the intimate details is best to protect the innocent...
so without any specifics, will you pray with us?

Praise be to God!!! I am so incredibly excited for y'all, and I will be praying for you all and the birthmother. She has an amazingly difficult cross to bear and so many emotions to sort through between now and when she places her child in your arms. I pray for strength for her and a heart to do what's best for her child, not what's easiest. I know there's so much gping through your minds and hearts right now! Saying many, many prayers!!
Oh Misty, Chuck and family I am soooo excited for you!! I know this journey has had it's ups and downs but your faith has always been constant and I just know your family will be growing soon. I will pray with you that this is just the beginning of a beautiful new journey for you.

Speaking from personal experience and being adopted at birth I am extremely happy for you and will pray God's guidance for every step. The best advice, if she is a girl atleast, is to be very honest with her about the adoption and ALWAYS answer any questions that she has. Being chosen is a great gift if you handle it with love!
