First, the boys(Mason and Kade) had the district Jim Kethan Fun Run. It's a mile run! Top 10 girls and boys in each grade level get a medal and their picture in the paper....and our cousin duo was oh, so close! I'm so proud of them for just having the guts to do it!
My favorite is to watch the Kindergarten kids run it...oh, it is so funny! They are so determined to run that long distance...and they do! Amazing to all watching.
I can't tell you how many moms and dads I see, totally teary-eyed(including yours truly and my hubby) while cheering on their kids on this day. I think watching your kids GIVE IT THEIR ALL is so touching.
Here's some of the 60, 4th grade boys on the starting line...
Mason running in for 11th place...
Kade came in close behind in 18th...
Me running in one of my special babies...so precious. Love that girl...She's a Leukemia patient partially paralyzed by a spinal tap gone wrong. She's so strong. I know God's got special plans for her.
And look who got a medal in his grade?!?!?...Caleb-Regina's son, Rach's nephew!
Then, on Saturday we helped to be LPLGWW...What is that, you ask? It's our church's mission statement...LIVING PROOF OF A LOVING GOD TO A WATCHING WORLD! All the Bible study classes in the church were divided up to serve 4 different schools in our church's area. The principals at each school were asked what they would like to have, but didn't have the money for! One chose a Greenhouse for her students, two chose new playgrounds, and one other wanted some paintings done in the school! The school we were assigned to was one getting a playground! What fun we had working that day! Here's some pics...
Maddi, her friend, and Reese worked inside some, doing lots of crafty things the teachers had requested...
Reese working away outside...

Papa hard at work...
Nana was the "keeper of Blaykie"!
JP hard at work...
Lana and her little worker-girl...
Me and my little worker-niece...

That same day was Mason's Opening Day for baseball where he and Chuck were waiting for us to get to his game(and we made it-good thing it wasn't early in the day)....
And then, here's Maddi on Monday at the DISTRICT meet...SHE CAME IN 2ND OUT OF ALL THE 7TH GRADE HIGH JUMPERS IN THE DISTRICT!!!! You go girl!

WHEW....SEE WHY I NEVER HAVE TIME TO BLOG!?!?!?! BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!
XOXOXOXO-misty:)
