How incredibly bittersweet of a day this has been....
Birth mom signed. The report from our social worker was that it was an emotional, difficult time for her. I can't even imagine. I don't blame her for not showing up on time and even skipping out the time before. Ugh. Say a prayer for her tonight and whenever she comes to your mind. I know I'll be praying for her the rest of my life. I'm grateful to her already...and even more grateful to the Lord who had this in mind from the beginning. I pray that the Lord will put people in her life to love on her, show her a clear plan for her life and that she will live for Him. That will be my prayer each time I think of her...because someday my little boy is gonna want to meet his birth mom. I know she's not ready now, but someday...
Soooo.....we'll make the drive to pick him up tomorrow at his incredible foster home.
SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!
Can't wait to introduce you to one cute little boy, born on November 19, 2011, 5 lbs. 9 oz., 17".
We named him Levi Nicholas Williston.
It worked out perfectly...
From the time we started thinking about babies, Chuck has always wanted to name a boy Levi. The rest of us loved it, but we couldn't ever figure out a middle name for some weird reason. My thought process was that I always kinda wanted to wait and see the baby first.
Now I know why...
When we got to the foster home, we fell in love not only with a precious baby boy, but also with the foster situation he was in...the home, the people, the atmosphere. It was like something out of a story book. They'd been calling him "Nick", short for St. Nicholas, since he was a blessing that had come just in time for Christmas. How perfect! Chuck and I gave each other a knowing smile when they told us that. We knew instantly we'd keep that for his middle name. His foster family gave it to him! What a story we'll be able to tell him one day. I hope to keep in touch with them forever so they just won't be a part of his story, but of his life.
Thank every. single. one. of. you. who have been praying. You're a part of his story, too.
This has been a scary placement in so many ways...but that's his story to tell one day...not mine. We're taking him with a legal risk for 45 days from birth...and we've got 28 more days of praying to do til that's done with. I'm guessing there's a "few" of you out there that will help us with that. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being involved in this...from the bottom of our hearts.
We can't wait to get to know and love on our little boy...we hope you will too!
What a fun life he'll have...and with SO. MUCH. LOVE.
Pictures to come soon:)

Hi Misty, we don't know each other, but you know my husband, David. I've been following your blog for a while now and waiting with anticipation and saying lots of prayers for you guys to finally bring home a precious little baby. My heart broke this afternoon when David called to tell me the birth mom didn't sign. I prayed for you the whole way home and just couldn't imagine how this could happen again for you guys. As soon as Lana texted David tonight my heart raced. I could not be happier for you all. God is great!!! I'm also partial to the name as you can imagine...great choice!!! Jessica :)
My family and I are so excited for you. You've been in our prayers daily as we pray for the women who want to be mommies including "Miss Misty." Your little Levi is so blessed. We will continue to pray for you, your family, & Levi's birth mom.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
