NO Quitters ALLOWED in Angel Fire!

In our family, we have a FAMILY RULE.

It goes a little something like this...

YOU MUST TRY EVERYTHING ONCE BEFORE SAYING NO TO IT!!!

We came up with this rule after having some "trying" times of not being able to ALL do something together because of someone "chickening" out during family vacays! Chuck or I would have to sit back with one kid and watch the other 2 having all the fun while we sat with the crying, pouting kid, opting out of whatever it was that they were afraid of. Let me tell you, this has been the best family rule EVER! It has allowed the kids to see how much fun they miss out on by letting the fear get to them...they've learned that Satan uses fear to hold us back. (I'm not talking HEALTHY fear, I think we should all utilize the brains that God gave us and make smart choices. ) We've seen this really GROW our kids into kids that are confident and try things they never would have in the past! They know they don't have a choice, so they go confidently into whatever it is now! And for that...I am so PROUD!!!

On the ski slopes this past week, I watched Maddi and Mason go from GREEN to BLUE skiers and watched them learn to SnowBoard like you wouldn't believe! YAAAAYYYY! They could have given up or quitted a million times, but they stuck with it even when it was tough and you should see them go now!

Oh, and by the way, for all of Chuck's friends that read our blog...ON JUST HIS SECOND TIME TO SKI IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE, HE WENT FROM GREEN TO BLUE TOO! I'd like to say that it's because he had two really good teachers, right mom?!?!? HA!

Here's just a few of the 200 pictures I took this week...

My Dad recently had a hip replacement and decided not to ski. So he rented what he thought was an adaptive-type ski toy...Yeah, right. Tri-sliders go way faster that skiers or snowboarders. YIKES! Look out! Here he is in the shop trying it out...

Dad woke up every morning to cook us a big breakfast...YUMMY!

The morning of SnowBoarding lessons...

We snuck over to snowboarding school to watch and take a few pics...

Pro Snowboarders now!!!...

POLAR COASTER!!!

The sad day...packing up and leaving. Awww man! What a fun Vacay!

P.S. One day, I skiied with the Camcorder to show how good everyone was doing down the slopes. I'm trying to figure out how to load the video I took onto BLOGGER (not been very successful in that as of yet!). I'm trying though!!!

Looks like ya'll had a blast! For real! I"m proud of the kids sticking with snowboarding! It's HARD! I guess its easier for kids to learn and pick up things like that! Glad ya'll had such a great time! Wasn't the snowmobiling fun?!
