All in a day...

Yesterday was gorgeous outside...while we spent some of it indoors watching our kids play in games and tournaments, all in all...IT WAS A PERFECT, FULL day!!!

First, Maddi and some friends met up with all the youth group girls for Mug-a-Muffin, where you bring your own mug and eat breakfast, wear pj's, and just have fun hangin' out together...Mason had a basketball game. He scored 4 points!
I love this pic of he and his 'cuz, the Kade-ster...

Our church is constructing a cross you can see from miles away to "point people to the CROSS and JESUS"...I had to take some pictures after I dropped Maddi and her friends off(but then they just had to go back over and take pics w/their camera phones...too funny!)! Soon, there will be a lake around the bottom to worship around, pray, be baptized in, or just enjoy sitting at the foot of the cross...HOW NEAT! The thing I'm most proud of is the fact that it's paid for...just like everything else is at our church. DEBT FREE! Money was first given to the surrounding community to help with needs and then the leftover was used to build the cross for the community. Just in the short time that I was there taking pictures, there were several others in cars stopping and taking pictures. The ones that stood out the most though, were a group of rough, Harley Davidson motorcycle dudes and dudettes who had stopped to just check it out. One of the men was crying and wiping his eyes with a hankerchief.
As I watched from a distance, my thought was:
THE CROSS REACHES PEOPLE LIKE NOTHING ELSE CAN.
SO AWESOME!!!

and Maddi had a tournament...
Fun day!
I feel blessed...as always.

That does look like a fun day :) I am still working on building up that running - but I have to admit - it is going rather slow!! Hopefully getting rid of the extra weight will make it a little easier on my knees - they kill me! But at least I am trying and doing something - and I keep telling myself - if we believe in God with all our hearts he will help us move our mountains!!
