7/18/2012...It's a GIRL!!!

Today started out with the big 20 week ultrasound!  Everything looks great so far and we found out we're having a GIRL.  Crazy, huh?!?!  I knew in my heart it would be a girl.  Having another boy just 13 months after Levi was born would be too "easy".  Same clothes, same sports teams, same, same, same.  And I thought Levi would LOVE a brother so close in age to him.  Since Levi is the center of my world, I'm always thinking what would be fun for him.  It sounded too simple to be true.  Hahaha!  Our journey to our babies have NOT been simple, so I knew it was gonna be a girl!  We couldn't be more excited, though.  Besides, my heart was tied.  We wanted either.  God's plans normally turn out best....hahaha! So, I figured whoever He had for us would be exactly what we needed!

We've had her name picked out forever...it's special for a couple of reasons: We love and have always loved KATE.  And we loved Eliza to go with it.  My Mammie(my grandma who went to be with Jesus close to 10 years ago)had a doll that my sister and I got to play with when we were at her house.  The doll's name was Eliza Jane.  We loved to play with her.  And on top of that, we have special friends who have an Eliza, spelled with an "A"(which I love even more than "E" for some reason), who is on our heart and minds daily for unspoken reasons.  God knows. And we're crying out to him for her and her family.
So Kate Aliza she will be.  She is due to make her entrance into this world on December 2, 2012.

Kate Aliza.
Love, love, love.

Then we had an early birthday dinner to celebrate my birthday before we told the family.  Try keeping a secret for a couple hours in our family.  Haha....it's not easy.

Then, back to our house for any family who could make it kinda last minute, to come eat cake and celebrate with us!  I'm not an ultimate party planner, but came up with something quick and easy that I knew was gonna be do-able when I got home from our doctor appointments!  We wrapped two large boxes, had everyone write their names on which gender box they thought we were having, hid the special cake under the "correct" one,  and let the big cousins do the reveal!

Under the pink box, was the most beautiful pink cake made by one of my long time besties....Rebecca Green.  I love her so.  I called her this morning from the Dr's office and she had it decorated and ready to go.  Amazing....

Under the blue box, was a little less exciting, but tasty birthday cookie cake for me from HEB! Ha!  Yes, it does say "37".  Oh my goodness.

I didn't take many pics, but here are just a few from the night...

Fun times, good memories and one more blessing from God.
Ready to meet you, Miss Kate Aliza.
We love you already.
