On my 2 month birthday....

On my 2 month birthday...

Mommy took some pictures of me laying in her bed before the sun came up.
We were up already and she told me all I had to do was smile...I can do that really good, she says.
I gave her my best sleepy smiles...

Then I spit up all over my sleepin' outfit and she left me "necked"(yes...mommy hates to say 'naked' for some weird reason) to take some pictures on she and daddy's white chair in their bedroom...well, my bedroom too, for now....

After she tortured me by taking 20 million pictures, we watched daddy work on the new shelf he's building for mommy's picture albums.  He's really good and he tells me everything he's doing so that I can know how when I grow up, too...

A little while later, we went to my 2 month checkup.  Look!  I weighed 10.0 lbs!!!  Yay me!!!

 Levi Nicholas - 2 months
10lbs. 0 ounces
22 inches

I'm growing, but I'm still really small for 2 months!
No one knows what my gestational age really is, so it's kinda frustrating.
But Mommy says I'm perfect no matter what!

My appointment wasn't all I thought it was gonna be.
I. Got. Shots.
Three of them...and they hurt.
Mommy said no pictures for that, because me, her and daddy were all crying.  It was really sad.  Really, really sad.  Ask mommy.
I cried myself to sleep in my car seat afterwards.
At least I always have my monkey friends there.

 Then...everyone started leaving...
My big bro went to a birthday party.  My big sis, Daddy, and Papa all headed to Austin for Maddi's club volleyball tournament.  I'm sure gonna miss everybody!!!  Hurry home!
(I'm not sure what they are laughing at, but this is pretty much always how it goes at my house.  Crazy people!!!)

After that, me and Nana and Mommy just hung out. I cried a whole lot because my legs were swollen and hurting from the shots, but my Nana cuddled and snuggled with me, while my Mom called my other Nana, who works with babies all day long and asked her some stuff about me and my hurting legs.  I got a tiny bit of some infant pain reliever and slept for a while.
I woke up happy a little later and talked to Mom and Nana about my day, smiled at them, made them laugh, ate a little, and went back to sleep.

Whew...it's been a hard day.  I'm ready for tomorrow!!! No shots, please!

Levi...you are a sweet, sweet boy.  We couldn't feel any more lucky to have you.
Oh goodness.  You are more than we hoped for, and all that we longed for.
SO glad God gave us YOU.
Love, Mommy
p.s.  I'm praying for my friends, family and even those of you I don't know who are waiting.
Hang on...your "Levi" is coming.
