Valentine's Weekend...

What a weekend! We had Maddi's district basketball tournament (which her team won!), the first annual Shell Strides for DPISD Schools 5K, and a little Valentine's fun!

Just in time for the Yachty Gras Boat Parade...

The kids made and decorated our very own COOKIE CAKE!

WE are, ok so I AM a cookie cake freak, and have turned my family into the same!
After they baked it, Maddi got one side to decorate and Mason got the other. Look how carefully she's watching him to make sure he stays on his side...sibling rivalry! Ha!

Oh and the week before, the 8th grade athletics boys "decorated" themselves for the 8th grade girls game and came to cheer them on. It was really cute...

So the 8th grade girls returned the favor! I didn't get a picture of the entire athletics girls group, just Maddi and a friend when I picked them up...

I remember doing fun stuff like this in junior high and high school. FUN Memories! I want our kids to have crazy fun memories to look back on too! They've got a great start!
