Maddi's 14th!!!

Today's THE day....Maddi's 14th birthday!
But, we had her party Saturday night from 7 to 11pm!!! Whew...it was a long one! The kids(MORE THAN 30 OF THEM!) swam, sat and google-eyed each other in the hot tub(it was coed, so you know what I mean), played volleyball, ate pizza, ice cream, cookie cake, and candy, watched an outdoor movie, and played every game you can think of in the street in front of our house(thank goodness we live on a cul-de-sac!).
Maddi said she had a blast! Good thing, since we are officially out of the party business for her! Next year, it's the start of a new tradition! Take a few friends out to eat and play somewhere! So much easier and I can't wait! Although, I do have to admit...the party was a big hit, and I had fun watching all of them having fun! Here's a picture of Chuck and Maddi soon after she came home from a very long stay in the hospital. She was born premature....And here's Chuck with his "baby" girl now. Just arriving...
I think this is the reason we just had to buy a new trampoline a month ago...
Silly friends... Mason, and those who kept him entertained
and away from the party scene for Maddi...thank goodness!
How many kids can you get in a hot-tub?

Opening presents...

Watching the movie...17 AGAIN...
I know our neighbors were all happy when everyone had gone home
and just the balloon on the mailbox was left!

Wow - 14 - I can't believe it! I remember meeting you for the first time at a party at Ryan Premel's house - you had red ribbons tied onto your pigtails and I could not believe how much you looked like your dad!!! And you are growing up to be just as beautiful as I always knew you would be! Chris told me to tell you happy birthday too! He can't believe that the baby he held in the palm of his hand (I still can't get over that you were no bigger than his hand!!) is a beautiful teenage girl who can have coed parties - he is so not ready for those days with his baby girl :-). We are so glad you had a great birthday!! Love, Chris and Trish
